The Purpose of the Parisian Style 10 X 10
In an effort to add some playful looks into my everyday/go-to wear rotation, I decided to join in on Jessica Harumi and Bri Lamberson’s Parisian Style 10 X 10 on Instagram. It ran for 10 days and its purpose was to curate a capsule of 10 Parisian inspired pieces from your closet and style them 10 different ways.
The French Girl Style Is It
The majority of my recent Pinterest pin saves have been Parisian and French Girl themed. So, the timing of this challenge couldn’t have been more perfect for me. I was nervous to join since I have little experience with building a robust capsule wardrobe. But, I threw caution to the wind and just decided to have fun.
What I included in My Parisian Style 10 X 10 Capsule
My capsule included 10 pieces I was most looking forward to wearing this spring and summer. 7 of the pieces I selected were old, but I threw in three new ones that I recently added to my forever closet that fit perfectly within the French concept.
I did end up incorporating a couple of outerwear pieces and bags that were not included within my 10. For me, outwear and bag accessories are not the foundation of a capsule. They can be included, but are not essential for building looks especially for the spring and summer seasons.

I’ve rounded up each of the 10 outfit edits I shared via my Instagram below. I’ve never been to France, but I’ve become an admirer of their sense of style. They celebrate personal style over trends. They elevate everyday wear in the most simplistic and elegant of ways. I’m not sure if I actually pulled off any French Girl or Parisian looks, but I know I had fun trying.
