18 Fall and Winter Pieces I Added To My Wardrobe
Dear Texas, Be Cold Already!
Texas is still trying to figuring out what season it is. The mornings and nights are cool, but the afternoons are sweltering. It’s exhausting, but I’m preparing my fall and winter wardrobe anyway! It’ll eventually get cold and I want to be ready for it when it finally decides to arrive.
90’s Fashion, is That You?
I’m not a trend chaser anymore (here’s why), but some of what’s currently in fashion wise is speaking my language. I’m very into this resurgence of 90’s style. It’s all about basic, chunky, oversized, and looser fits. Gah, I love it!
Thanks, Birthday + Secondhand Finds
I’ve slowly started switching out my spring and summer wardrobes for my fall and winter. I kept most of what I’d placed in storage, but I did end up donating a few pieces that didn’t work for me anymore (FYI For Day’s Take Back Bag is a sustainable way to donate clothes I’ve been optimizing lately).
I curated a wishlist throughout the summer of items I wanted to add to my fall and winter wardrobe. I selected pieces that represents a chic, easy, and minimalist take on this 90’s fashion revival. Thanks to my recent birthday and some secondhand finds, I was able to indulge in a little shopping and add my wishlist pieces to my closet. Each exemplifying and highlighting my own style and taste.
18 Fall and Winter Pieces
Here’s the 18 pieces I added to my fall and winter wardrobe. I’ll share the details of each item once I start fashioning and posting outfits. Some of the links won’t represent exactly what’s featured, but I’ve shared similar options.
If you like any of what I shared, be sure to check your own closet first to see if you already own something close to what’s been featured or shop secondhand vendors to support local or small businesses, find unique similar pieces, and save money!
I plan to revolve my cool weather outfits primarily around this list to ensure I get my money’s worth and the pieces are getting a fair amount of wear. As always, consider the pieces I share as options and inspiration. If you’re not feeling it, don’t add it! I fully understand that style is personal and what works for me doesn’t mean it’ll work for someone else. Wear what YOU want and what makes YOU feel the most comfortable!
