Book Review: Take A Hint, Dani Brown by Talila Hibbert

Danika “Dani” Brown is a PhD student teacher who is recovering from a recent breakup and on the prowl for a new dalliance.  Zafir “Zaf” Ansair is a handsome, ex-rugby player turned security guard who has an affinity for romance novels.

After a mishap during an on campus fire drill, Zaf extracts Dani from an uncooperative elevator for all the student body and social media holders to see.  As rumors start to spread about the extent of their relationship, Dani concocts a plan to fake a relationship with Zaf to aid in expanding his mental health centered charity brand and seduce him into an amorous entanglement.

This is the second installment of the ‘Brown Sisters’ series. Many times the female protagonist's struggle with varying degrees of mental instability with the man arriving on his white horse to save her from it with all things charm, wit, and allure. However, I think Talia has flipped the proverbial script with this storyline.

Talia provides a peephole into the interworking of a man’s mind affected by trauma.  Zaf was less of a erotic innate object and more of a multidimensional human being with feelings and thoughts that include getting to the core and essence of who Dani is and what makes her tick.  Plus, I just love a man that’s surrounded by women and highly regards them and their opinions.

This book is not to be missed.  Even though I’m still wiping away the steam admitted from the pages onto my glasses while I read it, I fully believe you’ll fly through this read and devour its seductive yet charming content.
