Happy Pub Day to ‘The Jigsaw Man’ by @queennads (thank you, @bookclubbish and @hanoversquarepress for this #giftedbook !)
As you can see, it 👏🏾finally👏🏾 happened 👏🏾. I received my (very) FIRST (hopefully not last) Advanced Reader’s copy (or ARC). ‘The Jigsaw Man’ is the new novel of London based criminal defense attorney, Nadine Matheson.
The story follows senior investigator, Angelica Henley, as she sets out to solve a case where the murder’s killings are reminiscent of the infamous serial killer, Peter Olivier- better known as the Jigsaw Killer and with whom Henley shares a dark past. Think ‘Silence of the Lambs’ meets ‘Bone Collector’ meets ‘Kiss The Girls’ meets ‘Murder By Numbers’ while sipping on a London Fog Tea. I read the premise and immediately said ‘yes’ and frankly felt honored even being asked to read it before its mass publication.
I’m always interested in stories where women, more specifically women of color, are leading the narrative. I’m more than 3/4’s done with the book and I feel as if I’ve found a new all time favorite to add to my murder mystery pile.
